Pay the Carrier Directly
We never hold your money. You pay the carrier directly — no platform commission, no middleman markup.
Legal Disposal, Every Time
Every job comes with a Waste Transfer Note for your records — required for commercial waste and your proof of legal disposal.
RubbishBids vs. the alternatives
Skip hire, or a random van from Gumtree — here's how we compare
* Gumtree van column hidden on mobile. Gumtree carriers are typically unverified and rarely provide a Waste Transfer Note.
Householder liability: If an unlicensed carrier fly-tips your waste, the fine can be traced back to you — up to £5,000. Every RubbishBids carrier is EA-verified before they can receive a single job.

Everything you need to know before you post your first job
How much does it cost?
RubbishBids is completely free for customers — there's no platform fee or commission. You pay the carrier directly for the collection. Typical prices: a single bulky item from £35–£60; a half-load (e.g. a cleared room) from £70–£110; a full van load from £120–£200. Is there a fee to use RubbishBids?
No. RubbishBids is completely free for customers. You pay the carrier directly for the collection — there's no platform fee, no commission, and no hidden charges.
What types of waste can I get collected?
Most types of non-hazardous waste: construction and demolition waste, garden waste, bulky household items, mixed rubbish, soil and hardcore, and more. Hazardous materials (asbestos, chemicals, etc.) require specialist handling and are not covered.
How quickly will I get bids?
Most jobs receive their first bid within 5–15 minutes during business hours (Mon–Fri 8am–6pm). Jobs posted in the evening or at weekends will typically receive bids the following morning.
Are the carriers insured and licensed?
Yes. Every carrier on RubbishBids holds a valid Environment Agency waste carrier licence. We verify this before allowing any carrier to receive jobs on our platform. This protects you from householder liability if waste were to be fly-tipped.
What is a Waste Transfer Note and why do I get one?
A Waste Transfer Note (WTN) is a legal document that records the transfer of waste from you to a licensed carrier. It's a legal requirement for commercial waste and strongly recommended for household waste. It proves the waste was disposed of legally — protecting you if it were ever traced back to you. On RubbishBids, carriers must upload the WTN before a job can be marked complete. See how we verify every disposal →
What if I'm not happy with the bids I receive?
You're under no obligation to accept any bid. If the prices don't suit you, simply don't respond. There's no commitment until you agree a price directly with a carrier.
