1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RubbishBids.co.uk and any related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. What RubbishBids does

RubbishBids is a marketplace platform that connects customers who need waste collected ("Customers") with independent, Environment Agency-licensed waste carriers ("Carriers"). We facilitate the introduction between Customers and Carriers but are not a party to any contract formed between them. We do not collect waste ourselves and are not responsible for the actions of Carriers.

3. Customer terms

As a Customer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your waste, including type, quantity, and access.
• Only submit jobs for waste types that are legal to dispose of via a licensed carrier.
• Not submit hazardous waste (asbestos, chemicals, clinical waste) through the Platform without prior agreement with a specialist carrier.
• Deal directly and honestly with Carriers who submit bids.
• Not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

4. Carrier terms

As a Carrier, you agree to:

• Hold and maintain a valid Environment Agency waste carrier licence at all times.
• Only bid on jobs you are genuinely able to fulfil.
• Dispose of all collected waste legally and in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
• Provide customers with a waste transfer note (duty of care documentation) for all collections.
• Maintain adequate public liability insurance.
• Not misrepresent your credentials, pricing, or availability to Customers.
• Pay your subscription fee on time. Access to jobs will be suspended for overdue accounts.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Carrier access to the Platform is provided on a subscription basis, billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Customers use the Platform free of charge — there is no platform fee on jobs.

6. Limitation of liability

RubbishBids acts solely as an introduction platform. We are not liable for: the quality or timeliness of waste collection services provided by Carriers; any damage caused by Carriers during collection; disputes between Customers and Carriers; or any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from use of the Platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to RubbishBids. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms or if your continued use poses a risk to other users or to the Platform. Carriers may cancel their subscription at any time; access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered Carriers of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
